In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, minced onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, oregano, black pepper, and salt. Mix gently with your hands until just combined - avoid overmixing.
Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and shape into patties about ¾-inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat or prepare your grill to medium-high heat. Cook patties for 5-6 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Toast burger buns lightly if desired. Serve patties on buns with your favorite toppings like lettuce, tomato, onion, and condiments.
